The general (run-off) election will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016. Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. On the ballot for Jackson Parish will be the U.S. Senatorial runoff between John Kennedy and Foster Campbell. Also, voters residing in the Ward 2 Fire Protection District will vote on a millage renewal.
In an effort to remain current and up-to-date in this rapidly changing world of technology, Jackson Parish Clerk of Court has decided to become a member of the Louisiana Clerks’ Remote Access Authority (LCRAA). LCRAA was created and authorized by La. R.S. 13:754 in 2014.It is a state entity authorized to design, construct, administer, and maintain a statewide portal of records that are maintained by parish Clerks of Court. As of January 1, 2016 our office will have the ability to issue certified copies of Louisiana death records for deaths that occurred from January 2013 to present. For deaths occurring prior to this, you will need to contact Louisiana Vital Records. Effective August 1, 2016, the cost will be $26.00 cash per copy.
